Mesa county, snow capped mountains and miners

Awesome Fall day here today..I love waking up and going out to my patio first thing in the morning to see the snow capped mountains! And who didn't tear up today watching those miners being rescued? Pretty amazing stuff.

Had a fun dinner with Juliet tonight at an Indian place in Belmar. It's funny when we reminisce about being Cobbers and her and Laura living together! We are planning for Halloween weekend when our friends from Madison come visit us..

My last patient to see today couldn't focus on my nutrition related questions (How are you eating? Do you have your own teeth?), he was too worried about his wife with alzheimers. (He also has alzheimers). See, she left her house yesterday in Lakewood to visit him at the nursing home (also in Lakewood) but 5 hours later, she was found in Mesa County, CO (near the Utah border) and had run out of gas. It sounds like she had taken a wrong turn to the nursing home and then just kept driving until her car stopped. He's worried her drivers license will be revoked. I'm worried that it won't be.
